At Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, we’re proud that we’ve had the opportunity to entertain Myrtle Beach visitors for more than ten years, and we look forward to many more years to come! Our action-packed pirate show offers incredible entertainment and a mouth-watering feast that will satisfy guests of all ages. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and provide a memorable experience for everyone who visits us. To help you learn more about our show and our journey to get where we are today, we’ve created a guide to the history of our show in Myrtle Beach.

How It Started

Our show in Myrtle Beach first opened in June of 2011. We wanted to bring some swashbuckling excitement to the area in a way that hadn’t been done before! Dolly Parton has always had a place for Myrtle Beach in her heart — her mom was born in the area, and she’d been to visit as a young girl with her family. It only felt right to bring something special to Myrtle Beach! She decided to change things up by creating Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, a daring and adventurous show unlike any other.

When we first opened, the show featured much of what guests still love about our show today, including an indoor hideaway lagoon, acrobatics, pirate battles, and a delicious pirate feast!

Changes Over the Years

Although the premise of our show in Myrtle Beach has remained the same, we’ve grown over the years to provide guests with even more swashbuckling excitement! We’ve changed up our menu to feature dishes that everyone in the family will love, and we’ve incorporated new additions into our show and attraction that will keep guests entertained all evening long. We even added a special Christmas show during the holiday season! Our Christmas show features a battle between the Crimson and Emerald Pirates as they compete for the coveted Christmas treasure, a live Nativity, giant Christmas toys that come to life, and so much more. It’s the perfect way to make it a Christmas to remember in Myrtle Beach! We also added some pre-show entertainment, a gift shop overflowing with pirate treasure, and a special Animal Encounter. Most recently, we added our Deep Sea Wonders segment to the show, which plunges guests into the deepest depths of the ocean to watch giant sea turtles, jellyfish, and seahorses ride currents in a phosphorescent wonderland.

Our Show Today

That brings us to the show you know and love today! Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show features acrobatics, sword fighting, pyrotechnics, live animal tricks, high diving, and so much more. Arrive early to Join the Crew with special pirate and mermaid makeovers, then head to Pirates Village™ for a pirate-themed sing-along! Once you take your seats in our theater, you’ll be served our four-course feast with Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, a Buccaneer Biscuit, Half O’ Roasted Chicken, Swashbucklin’ Sugar-Cured Ham, Cob O’ Buttery Corn, Matey’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and your choice of Apple O’ Me Eye Pie or Chocolate Coconut Cake for dessert! Once the action begins, you’ll be swept away by a fun-filled pirate adventure with high seas escapades and romance.

To add more fun to your evening, get tickets to our Animal Encounter! This 30-minute program invites guests to get up close and personal with our live animal performers. Meet Salty the Sea Lion, a daring dog, and a beautiful tropical bird! Guests will also learn more about our positive reinforcement training and how we provide exceptional welfare for our animals.
