All You Need to Know About the History of Our Dinner Show in Pigeon Forge

Since we first opened, it’s been our mission to provide a swashbuckling adventure that audience members of all ages can enjoy. We’re proud to be able to do just that year after year. Kids, adults, and seniors will all have a memorable evening at our dinner theater! When We Opened
Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show opened our Pigeon Forge location in the spring of 2019. After much success in Myrtle Beach, we wanted to bring the pirate fun to the Smoky Mountains! We decided Pigeon Forge was the perfect location for our show. Smoky Mountain visitors were transported to the high seas for a thrilling adventure with a set featuring two full-sized pirate ships and a 15-foot-deep indoor lagoon. Not only did they feel like they were at sea, but they also got to witness acrobatics, special effects, live animals, and original Dolly Parton music.
The opening of Pirates Voyage in Pigeon Forge brought a brand-new experience to the Smoky Mountains, allowing visitors to enjoy the sea and pirate fun in the heart of the mountains.
How We’ve Grown
Much of what you know and love about our dinner show, including our incredible pirate battles and acrobatics, has remained the same over the years. However, we’ve continued to make new additions and add more opportunities to elevate the guest experience. One of our latest additions includes our South Pacific Celebration. As our crew stumbles upon what they think is a deserted island, they’re greeted with an incredible luau celebration featuring heart-pounding rhythms and captivating fire dancing. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you can only witness at our dinner show in Pigeon Forge!
Not only have we added new segments to the show and new items to our feast (like Matey’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese), but we’ve also added new experiences to enjoy before the show!
You can transform into pirates or mermaids with our Join the Crew experience that’s always been a guest favorite, but you can also find pirate treasure at our gift shop and grab some pirate-themed specialty drinks and grub from our Pirates After Dark™ bar. One of the best things to do on the day of our show is our Animal Encounter! It’s an exciting educational opportunity for guests to get up close and personal with our animal ambassadors, including Salty the Sea Lion! Not only can you meet our animal friends, but you can learn more about their training process and how we care for them. Animal Encounter tickets are sold separately from dinner show tickets.

The dinner includes Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, a Buccaneer Biscuit, Cracklin’ Pan-Fried Chicken, Swashbucklin’ Sugar-Cured Ham, Cob-O’ Buttery Corn, Matey’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese, and your choice of Apple O’ Me Eye Pie or Chocolate Coconut Cake.
