Our Animal Encounter invites guests to get up close and personal with the animal stars of our Pirates Voyage show. This 30-minute program is a fun, educational opportunity that allows you to interact with the animals, like Salty the Sea Lion! You’ll also learn more about our positive reinforcement training and the steps we take to provide exceptional welfare for our animals. We recommend booking tickets for our Animal Encounter on the same day as your show for the ultimate evening!
Join the Crew
Another exciting pre-show activity is our Join the Crew experience. This is open for all ages for an additional fee, but it’s especially popular with kids! They’ll get to choose whether they want to transform into a swashbuckling pirate and join Blackbeard’s crew, or become a beautiful mermaid. The makeovers are complete with facial makeup and various accessories to have guests looking and feeling like they belong in the show! After you join the crew, head into Pirates Village for an exciting pirate sing-a-long before all the action begins in our indoor hideaway lagoon! You won’t see a pirate battle quite like this at any other attraction in town! We’ve taken classic sword fighting up a notch. The Crimson and Sapphire crews battle on land, on deck, in the water, and even high in the air above their full-sized pirate ships. They’ll scale the ships and perform impressive acrobatics along with choreographed moves that will amaze you! As the battle goes on, you’ll be swept up in the high seas escapades and romance. You’ll also be introduced to mystical mermaids, tropical birds, daring dogs, and a salty sea lion! Be sure to cheer for which crew you hope gets the coveted treasure!
