3 Reasons to Visit Myrtle Beach in the Spring

March 12, 2024

It’s no secret that Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular vacation destinations on the East Coast. Although Summer tends to welcome the most visitors, you’d be surprised at the joys that visiting in the Spring can bring. When you’re interested in a peaceful, yet fun, getaway with your family or friends this Spring, look no further than Myrtle Beach. Here are 3 reasons to visit Myrtle Beach in the Spring:

1. Fewer Crowds

If you love the area but aren’t a fan of all the crowds, Spring is the perfect time to visit! While the excitement in Myrtle Beach starts to pick back up after a slower Winter season, you’ll still see fewer crowds in the Spring than you will during the busy Summer season. Enjoy less traffic on the main roads, shorter lines at restaurants and attractions, and better deals on lodging! You’ll also love being able to spend time on the beach when it’s not as crowded. Go for a sunset stroll along the shore, relax in the sand with a good book, or collect seashells!

2. Be One of the First to Witness Our New Show

Another huge benefit of visiting Myrtle Beach in the Spring is getting to see our incredible dinner show! You can be one of the first guests to witness what the new season holds for us at Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. This year, we’ve introduced brand new pre-show excitement, as well as a mesmerizing new act during our main show! We suggest guests arrive 1 hour and 15 minutes before the show for a fun, interactive experience, including a real pirate sing-a-long in Pirates Village™! You’ll also be able to try pirate-themed snacks and drinks, be transformed into a pirate or a mermaid during our Join the Crew experience, and get some pirate treasure in our gift shop. During our show, you’ll not only get to witness an epic pirate battle, but you’ll be introduced to Deep Sea Wonders, our new act that takes guests into the deepest depths of the ocean, where a phosphorescent wonderland awaits. You’ll see seahorses, jellyfish, and giant sea turtles ride currents within glowing beds of corral. It’s a sight unlike any other!

While you watch the show unfold, you’ll feast on Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, a Buccaneer Biscuit, Half O’ Roasted Cackler (Chicken), Swashbucklin’ Sugar-Cured Ham, Cob O’ Buttery Corn, and Apple O’ Me Eye Pie. Our Matey’s Mac ‘n’ Cheese is a recent addition to our menu, and it’s already a crowd favorite. Come celebrate Spring with us at Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach!

3. Mild Temperatures

Are you hoping to avoid the scorching hot summers in Myrtle Beach? Then Spring is the perfect time to visit! While early Spring months still tend to be too cold to swim in the ocean, it’s great weather for laying out on the beach, taking a boat out on the water, and just enjoying the fresh ocean air. Average daily temperatures tend to be in the 60s-70s, with a mix of sunny days and Spring showers. You’ll love being able to spend time exploring the area without it being too hot!
